Brushwork
by Jonas Diego
Pentel Brushpens had a built in reservoir and you filled the bristles with ink by squeezing it to make the ink flow. I loved the product because the synthetic hair they used were a joy to use and the ink was even and black. The problem was that it was very hard to control the amount of ink you squeeze to the bristles. I solved this problem by not using the reservoir at all and just dipping the brush in ink like I would normally do with a “real’ brush.
After a while however Pentel Brushpens started becoming scarce and it became quite a challenge finding one anywhere. I ordered online but the shipping and handling fees (not to mention the taxes and some hassles with the local post office) was killing my budget.
